Guide to CPC Certification for Children's Trampolines in the USA

1. Scope of Application and Core Standards
Applicable Products:
Household trampolines designed for children aged 12 and under. For export to the United States or listing on Amazon US or TEMU US, CPC certification is required.
Core Standards:
ASTM F381-24: The latest version replaces the old ASTM F381-16, covering physical safety requirements such as frame strength, stability, pinch prevention design, and UV aging tests.
ASTM F2225-15 (2020): If the trampoline has a safety enclosure, additional tests are required for the ripping strength of the net (≥250 lbs/in²), connector safety, and mesh design to prevent head entrapment.
CPSIA Regulations: Limits lead in base materials to ≤100ppm, lead in coatings to ≤90ppm, and each of 8 phthalates to ≤0.1%.
2. Testing Items and Labeling Requirements
Physical Safety Tests:
Frame salt spray corrosion test, edge drop impact, pad cushioning performance, spring cover anti-pinch design.
When equipped with a protective net, additional testing for mesh strength and connector safety is required.
Chemical Safety Tests:
Total lead content, phthalates (all materials in contact).
Mandatory Labeling Requirements:
Tracking labels: Permanently engraved model, batch, production date, manufacturer information.
Warning text (font ≥ 4.8mm): For single-person use only, no flips allowed, not suitable for children under 6 years, maximum load and top clearance safety notice.
3. Key Elements of the CPC Certificate
Issuing Entity:
Issued by the U.S. importer or manufacturer themselves, based on test reports from a CPSC-recognized laboratory (ISO 17025 accreditation required).
Required Content:
Product model, applicable age, place and date of production.
